Evening all!
For this week’s blog post, I thought id share with you some purchases I made during the month of January, end of December time. I personally love reading about peoples purchases because it often informs me about products/businesses I didn’t know about and gives me the oomph to try new things. This post isn’t going to consist of just one genre of items, its going to be a run down of a tonne of random stuff but I think you’ll enjoy what you see!
1. Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner

You could say this one is a little boring to start the blog off, but I really am so pleased with this purchase. I’ve used MAC fluid line for a couple of years now and unfortunately, I let the product go quite clumpy by not making sure the lid was on tight enough and didn’t clean my eyeliner brush as much as I should have done – I think its fair to say we all do this don’t we gals. Anyway, I wish I had taken care of the product more because I was then in the situation where I needed a fresh one. I say ‘need’, you don’t really NEED a gel eyeliner- I mean its not life or death is it? lols. But I really love the effect gel eyeliner gives much more than a pencil and of course we all wana strive to achieve the perfect winged eyeliner look! I endeavoured to re purchase the MAC fluid line however, my financial situation wasn’t looking too healthy so I popped onto my ASOS app to see if they had any- they often stock makeup brands these days so a great place to find products and OF COURSE, ASOS now offer the payment method of KLARNA which means you can buy now and pay later- the best thing to have happened to my life & also the worst. Although ASOS do have MAC products, they didn’t have the eyeliner, so I came across the Bobbi Brown one- I’ve never used any of their products before but heard good things so made the purchase. I can honestly say its SUCH a good eyeliner, its gorgeously silky and literally glides onto your lids. I would also recommend getting a proper eyeliner brush to go with an eyeliner because it makes the winged look easier to achieve (I still haven’t mastered it after around 5 years of trying but the brush helps out the situation BIG TIME). The brushes can be expensive, but you can also get cheaper versions by lower priced brands e.g. Maybelline etc.
2. Disney snack top by Closet Geek

Last year, I discovered loads of small businesses which I am now literally obsessed with! I talked about a few of them on a blog post I did last year which ill link at the bottom (shameless plug lols) but since then I have found more and they are all fab! One of them being, Closet Geek. Its basically a Disney clothing/accessories business run by a lovely lady called Belle who hand embroiders all her products. She literally creates the most amazing designs and they are perfect for any Disney lover, I literally want one of everything! Most recently, she created a Disney parks t-shirt collection including Disney park snacks. If anyone reading this has been to Disney world before then you’ll know how amazing the Disney snacks are at the parks e.g. dole whip, mickey pretzel etc SO DAMN GOOD. I just could not resist having one of these t-shirts, closet geek is super amazing because you can customise most of your orders. For the t-shirt I bought, it was advertised with a different design of snacks, but Belle gives you the creativity to pick which snacks you would like in what order and also on the colour t-shirt you like aswell as style! WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT!? AND!!! The prices are honestly amazing, it is so affordable and brilliant value for money! If you like what you see then you need to follow Closet Geek on Instagram, you will not be
disappointed with her designs, so many to choose from, so creative- I’m basically obsessed.
3. Aromatherapy diffuser
This is a little bit of a cheat one as I was bought this for Christmas however, I really wanted to include it in this post because I just think its amazing. If you’re a lover of candles or melts, this product is a great alternative to make your home smell gorgeous and in my eyes- a lot more cost effective. You will eventually burn through your candles and end up buying more, but with the diffuser, its literally a case of refilling it with water and adding the drops of oil of your choice. The range of oils that you can buy for them is super extensive, I have around 7 different oils- lemongrass, lavender, orange, peppermint, the list goes on. The oils smell amazing and you only need a few drops of them to fill the room with the scent. They are AMMAAAZZING and some of the diffusers even change colour- winning! These can be bought from loads of different sites, but I’ve found amazon stock a wide variety of them for affordable prices.
4. LUSH- Cosmetic Lad

Its only been the past 6-7 months that I’ve started using LUSH products, I’m so late to the party and I had definitely been missing out. I changed my full skincare routine to LUSH products and they really have worked wonders. I have really dry skin and also suffer from eczema, I seem to have random outbreaks and flare ups of eczema just above my top lip and its taken months to find the right products to help with this. The LUSH products have loads of calming ingredients in them that work really well for me. Cosmetic lad has been the moisturiser I’ve been using in my skin care routine, it’s a lovely thick creamy consistency, very hydrating and smells great aswell. You don’t need to use a lot of it either which makes it so much more cost effective.
5. Fragrance beads

I feel I have reached the peak of adulthood by purchasing fragrance beads. I’m pretty crap when it comes to washing, I often just buy the cheapest washing tabs from Lidl/Aldi and jobs a good’en. However, my sister gave me some major inspiration when we had an in depth chat about fabric softeners and fragrance beads (I know, we are wild). I decided it was time to take the adult plunge into the world of washing products and purchase these fragrance beads from Tesco. To start off with I’ve opted for Tesco’s own brand so that I can assess what I think about them. I got them in pink diamond scent and I’m not gonna lie, they’ve changed my life a little bit. My washing smells so damn wonderful, would definitely recommend! These were only £2- bargain, there are loads of other brands that are a bit pricier so I will definitely be investing some of my dosh into fragrance beads going forward!
6. Butternut squash lasagne sheets

So, I saw these on Rochelle Humes Instagram and thought they were such a fab idea. I’m a massive pasta lover don’t get me wrong, but I thought these were such a good idea as an alternative to make a lasagne dish a bit healthier. They can be bought in most supermarkets, I haven’t managed to track any down in the supermarkets near me yet so I am still on the hunt but will definitely be using them to make a lasagne once I have them and will be sure to share my thoughts on them with you all!
Until next time..
